The goal of the Association is:
- To contribute the development and competitiveness of the Latvian structural design industry.
Tasks of the Association:
- To unite the professional structural engineers of Latvia in a joint creative effort for the benefit of the public;
- To represent the professional, legal and economic interests of the structural engineers of Latvia;
- To contribute the growth of the ethics, competence and qualifications of the structural engineers of Latvia;
- To support the Latvian structural engineers acquiring international markets;
- To contribute the development and improvement of quality of construction industry as a field of science and education;
- To increase the prestige of structural engineering as a profession;
- To educate the public about aspects of construction and to interest the youth in the construction industry.
Main activities of LASE in 2013-2014
For 2013-2014 the Board of LASE has defined the following priorities:
- To continue working on the LASE Professional Standard and its Teaching aids;
- To implement the LASE Professional Standard in practice;
- To implement the ESF project supported by the Society Integration Foundation (SIF);
- Organization of seminars, training and workshops regarding issues related to construction and structural design;
- Participation in the Latvian construction industry development and drafting of National legislation.
